Being a young teen in the 70s, I was blessed to know +love the style, multicolors, textures, thick yarn rugs, macrame, plants mega touch and fabrics from India, on beds, walls, draped unto couches and chairs. I also love mixing French country, north east country( New England) and antique pieces, stained glass lamps, pink fringe lamps ala Victorian, a sideboard of oak with a secretary desk, roll down. I’m also into both vivid, bright colors and dark but vivid colors and my fav combo is yellow, orange, red +pink, my sunset, with a light lavender and a flash of purple. One thing I don’t fancy is white walls, unless they have pictures hanging, not too crowded, though, but spaced so I can enjoy each one as a SEPERATE entity.
Orange makes me happy, joyful and excited, a nice salmon color is subtle, and wallpaper, omg, gotta have it, but very different per room’s energy.
My fav thing to do is change rooms color schemes often.
Accessories like books, gotta have those built in bookcases. Statues, trinkets about the room, here, there, I love to show them off and display for me and whomever comes by. Plants are necessary for oxygen, plus they just belong together with the furniture, pillows everywhere, and that good ole Bohemian look.
The gardens part, yeah, peaceful and mucho…literally everywhere, bunched together so they may speak among themselves.
Lastly are dolls. I collect them but unfortunately they didn’t make it with us cross country. Now I’m re-collecting. When I finally buy my own house, it’ll be a true masterpiece when I get started.
