Designed in the heart of the Santa Clara Valley, Apple Park office is built within kilometers of green space. The campus’s ring-shaped 2.8 million-square-foot main building is clad in the world’s largest panels of curved glass.
The Apple Park project, designed by Foster + Partners, provided the arrangement of 5 million square meters of asphalt and concrete area with grass and more than 9,000 drought-resistant trees. At the same time, the structure is powered by 100 percent renewable energy, requiring no heating or air conditioning for nine months of the year.
Apple Park also includes the Apple Store and a public visitor centre, a 100,000 square foot fitness center for employees, an R&D and Steve Jobs theater. Within the park area, there are 2 kilometers of walking and jogging paths, an orchard and a pond for employees.
